Jason Ray VanDam , 22, of Topeka, passed away Friday, November 5, 2004 at a Wichita hospital as a result of an auto accident.
He was born March 26, 1982 in Iola,Kansas.
He grew up in Topeka and was active in the Boy Scouts and the Youth group at First Church of the Nazarene.
He graduated from Seaman High School where he was active in the band. He was also active in an antique auto club.
He attended the Kaw Area Technical School in 2001. He then attended Fort Scott Community College where he received his commercial drivers license.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather,Patricia Kay and Willard M. Hasty, brothers, Dustin VanDam and Michael Robb, stepsisters, Melissa Robb-Stokes, Melinda Hicks, and Mary Jane Varner, five nieces and 3 nephews, grandparents Donald and Mable VanDam, Uncle and Aunt Mike and Kathy VanDam and his fiance Savannah Ray.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday November 10, 2004 at First Church fo the Nazarene, 1001 SW. Buchanan, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
