Janine L. Lambert, age 44 died July 17, 2005 at her home. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 11,1960, the daughter of Maxine Baldwin Lambert and Thomas H. Lambert.
She attended Topeka schools. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Washburn University and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Kansas. Miss Lambert completed her social work internship at Menningers. She was a licensed clinician and most recently worked for The Consortium in Topeka. She also worked for Kansas Dialysis Services for several years.
Janine was an avid reader, gardener, and pet lover. She enjoyed her salt water fish as well as her two cats, Jenny and Izz. She appreciated classical music and New Orleans Jazz.
Besides her father, Janine is survived by her step mother, Mildred Lambert, two sisters, Judy Lambert and Janice Millburn both of Topeka and a brother, James Lambert in Ohio. She is also survived by two aunts, Pat Comfort, Topeka and Geraldine Sarensen, Holton. Janine was very close to her nephews and niece. The loss of her nephew, David Harden, in 1996 was a great tragedy to her. She is survived by nephews, Tommy Millburn, Kevin Goodman, Daniel Millburn, James Millburn and D'Andre Williams of Topeka and one niece, Mindy Harden, Topeka. She is also survived by two great nieces Elizabeth and Ashlin Millburn and great nephew Caden Sell.
Family and friends will meet at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th from 6-8 Thursday night. Graveside services will be at 10 am Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the KSU Veterinary School in care of the funeral home.
