Janet Erickson, 82, died September 26, 2015 at home in Topeka, Kansas with family by her side.
Janet was born December 23, 1932 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William C. and Sarah W. Watt. She grew up in Southwest Greensburg, and went on to attend Indiana University in Indianna, Pennsylvania, and the Art Institute-Pittsburgh.
Janet worked as a fashion illustrator at Gimbel's in Pittsburgh. After taking time off to raise a family and moving to Topeka, she worked as a para-educator at Highland Park High School for 22 years.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter (Nancy Erickson), and fiancé (Robert Lane). Survivors include sister (Cheryl Watt), son (Jeff Erickson), daughter and son-in-law (Carolyn and Jared Kintzel), and 3 grandchildren (Sarah Erickson, Karlie Kintzel, and Jacob Kintzel) all of Topeka Kansas.
Graveside service will be held at St. Clair cemetery, Greensburg, PA, at 2:00 PM, on Friday, October 2nd. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Topeka KS.
