Janet K. Peterson, 66, Topeka, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016.
She was born September 4, 1949, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of the late Jim and Connie.
Janet was employed by Southwestern Bell for 32 years, retiring in 2003.
She was a member of The Topeka British Car Club and GMC Motorhomes International.
Janet married Wayne on February 21, 1970 at Bethany Methodist, Wichita, KS. He survives. Other survivors include daughter, Jamie (Clint); granddaughters, Margreta, Maygan and Mallory; siblings, Anne (David), Reid (Janelle) and Kris (Joe); and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 2:00 pm. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604.
