Jane C. Hess, 66, of Lee's Summit ,MO, formerly of Topeka, died Friday, September 10, 2004 at a Lee's Summit hospital.
She was born July 7, 1938 in Topeka to Lloyd and Mary Copenhafer.
She attended Topeka public schools and Washburn University where she was an active member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, graduating in 1960 with a bachelors degree.
She married Gary L. Hess on March 11, 1967 in Tulsa, OK.
He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Kevin L. Hess of Raytown MO.
Mrs. Hess will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Harveyville Cemetery in Harveyville, KS
