James Parre

November 17, 1980 — September 16, 2015

The Lord called home James "Jimmy" David Eugene Parre, 34, Kansas City, MO, on September 16, 2015.

He was born November 17, 1980, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of David and the late Cynthia (Mongomery) Parre. He was the grandson of Glen and the late Leona (Schiefelbein) Montgomery and Paul and the late Kathryn (Link) Parre.

Jimmy attended Bishop Meige High School and Penn Valley Community College. Jimmy was currently employed by the Hyde Park Apartments in maintenance.

Jimmy enjoyed many things in life...Cats and loud Rock-n-Roll in particular. He was an accomplished artist on canvas, as well as, painting a house. He was a kind and thoughtful man, always pensive about God and the meaning of life. He cared deeply about those that loved him. Jimmy had a wonderful sense of humor. He made all those he encountered smile. Found in his personal belongings, written a while ago, was a note that he wanted people to know about him, "I was creative and had good business sense in the artistic realm (still does). Loving in my spiritual life, intelligent as well as moral in helping. Solves life's puzzles. Is now with the creator."

Survivors include his father, David Parre, Kansas City, MO; grandfathers, Paul Parre, Topeka, KS and Glen Montgomery, Topeka, KS; Aunts, Linda (Brad) Sloan, Topeka, KS, Henny (Louie) Parre, Springhill, KS, June (James) Parre, Topeka, KS. Uncle Doug Montgomery, Colorado Springs, CO. and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia, both grandmothers and his uncles Louie and James.

Memorial mass will be 10am Saturday, September 26 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and Friends to gather at 9:00am and a rosary will be recited at 9:30am Saturday at the church.
