James L. Maloney, 91, of Topeka, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
James was born on July 6, 1923 in Casper, WY. He was a graduate of the University of Kansas.
James was married to Barbara Rigby on November 14, 1942 in Topeka; she preceded him in death on December 22, 2013.
He worked for many years as the Director for the Supply Department for the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Maloney.
He is survived by one niece, Mindy (Rusty) Walker of New Orleans, LA; one nephew, John (Sherry) Maloney, Jr. of New Bern, NC and cousin, Jacqueline (William) Patterson of Topeka.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave. in Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Philip Billard VFW Post #1650, 3110 SW Huntoon St., Topeka KS 66604.
