James Ryan Johnson passed away unexpectedly on September 11, 2018. He was born on December 30, 1984 the son of James and Patsy Johnson.
He attended Topeka Lutheran School and graduated from Topeka High School. He went on to earn a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Kansas, where he graduated with honors.
James was passionate about computer programming, and excelled at mathematics. He was proficient in German and enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his mother Patsy Johnson; and his uncle, Richard W. Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father James J. Johnson.
A private graveside service will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Topeka, KS 66604-3720 or to KU Endowment (College of Engineering), 1891 Constant Ave, Lawrence, KS 66047.
