James H. Jones
James Howard Jones, 66, Topeka, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Lexington Park Nursing Facility.
He was born January 15, 1941 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Russell and Velma Eaton Jones. He had lived in Topeka since 1960.
Jim graduated from Fairbury, Nebraska High School and attended Washburn University. He was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church.
He worked for the Rock Island Railroad for 19 years before retiring in 1980.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two aunts, Laura Kamlowski of Billings, MT, Elsie Matthews of Topeka, and an uncle, Howard A. Jones of Topeka.
No public service is scheduled. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Drury Place Retirement Apartments, 4200 SW Drury Lane, 66604.
Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
