James Edward Channel

James "Bunny" Edward Channel, 70, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015.
He was born May 6, 1945, in Texarkana, Texas, to Miles Davis Channel and Mozelle F. Scott.
James was employed with USD 383 in Manhattan for many years and due to health issues retired in 2007. He will most be remembered for always fixing peoples' cars. He was loved by all who knew him.
Survivors include his children: Charlotte Channel, Marjorie "Tiny" Channel, James Nelson, Maurice Nelson, Stephanie Johnson and Miranda "Randi" Channel and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Toombs.
Memorial services will be 2 pm on Saturday, December 19 at Rolling Hills Nursing Center, 2400 SW Urish Rd, Topeka.
