James Carr

James Garland (Jim) Carr was born to John Garland Carr and Mae Alfred Pike Carr on October 28, 1930 in Cleburne, Texas. On August 15, 1950, Jim and Frances Juandell loring were married.

Jim hired on with the Santa Fe Railroad in 1948. He held various positions in Cleburne, Chicago, Clovis, Argentine, and Topeka. Jim retired from the ATSF Railway as System-Wide Director of Locomotive Maintenance in 1990.

After a long respiratory illness and a valiant fight, Jim went Home on December 2, 2005.

Jim is survived by his wife Juandell; children John and Cindy Carr of Topeka, and Lisa Carr of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Nicholas and Leslie Carr, Amanda Vidler, Zachary Carr, Brian Vidler and Katherine Vidler.

He was a member of Cleburne Lodge No. 315, A.F. & A.M. as well as Dallas Scottish Rite Bodies and the Arab Shrine of Topeka.

Family visitation will be Sunday, December 4 at 4:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.

Masonic graveside services and burial will be in Cleburne, Texas at Greenacres Memorial Park.
