James W. Arnold, 29, Topeka, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 5, 2007.
James was born September 24, 1977 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the son of Randall J. Arnold and Annie Roberts. He graduated from high school in Carthage, Illinois and Allen County Community College and received his L.P. N. certification from Kaw Valley Vocational Technical School. He had worked at several nursing homes in northeast Kansas.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was married to Carrie L. Carlson. She survives. Other survivors include his son, James Arnold Carlson; his mother, Annie Roberts, Topeka; uncles, Steve, Dan and Pat Roberts, Topeka; aunt, Jane Roberts, Petersburg, AK; and in laws, Larry and Barbara Carlson, Topeka. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents Dr. Warren and Mrs. Marion Roberts .
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m., Sunday, April 15, 2007 at First Lutheran Church, 1234 SW Fairlawn, Topeka, Kansas. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
