Jai'Shon Christopher Mychel Luarks, 21, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014.
He was born September 16, 1992, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Kevin Coffman and Machelle Bryant. They survive.
Jai'Shon attended Topeka West High School and was working toward earning his diploma. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to the shooting range, restoring his car, and playing with his dog, Theseus.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a daughter, Abryana Luarks; brother, Johnathan Luarks; companion, Taylor Pitmon; grandparents, John and Shirley Bryant, Sharon Luarks, and Willie Hayes, Sr.; great-grandfather, Herman Guillory; god-parents, Arch and Ann Tutt; aunts, Tammy (Andre) Barber and Dendra (Edward) Johnson; uncles, Michael (Kandis) Gibbs, Gaylon (Karen) Coffman, and Willie Hayes, Jr.; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by an aunt, Angela Vereen; grandmother, Betty Coffman; and great-grandmothers, Shirley Marie Guillory and Billie Singleton.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW10th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
