Jacqueline "Jackie" L. Wright, 82, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011.
She was born November 4, 1928 in Junction City, KS the daughter of Edgar and May (Van Trees) Morgan.
She was a graduate of Salina High School in 1945.
She was employed by Kansas National Education Association (KNEA) for over 25 years.
She was a member of Potwin Presbyterian Church for many years and recently The First Southern Baptist Church of Topeka.
Jackie married Hervey Wright, Jr. on October 13, 1956 in Salina, he survives. Other survivors include four children; Hervey (Marilyn) Wright III of Wichita, Candace (Joe Niccoli) Milavec, Greg (Sally) Wright, Cassie Wright; seven grandchildren; Michael Singer, Christopher Southall, Joseph Milavec, Hervey Wright IV, Casey Wright, Callie Wright, and Cole Wright; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Joseph "Ed" Sullivant; two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Interment will follow at Topeka Cemetery. Mrs. Wright will lie in state after 2 p.m., Monday, with the family receiving friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
