Jacob "Jack" Burghart, 64, Tecumseh, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014.
Jack was born October 27, 1949, in Topeka, son of Jacob Joseph Burghart and Susanna (Puhl) Burghart. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1967.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country in the Vietnam War.
Jack worked for Beech Aircraft, City of Topeka, and later retired from Goodyear in April 2006.
He married Ernestine "Tina" Rogers on October 26, 1974, in Topeka.
Jack is survived by his wife, daughter, Leslie Burghart, siblings, Geralyn and George Burghart, all of Topeka, brother in law, Robert L. Rogers, of Louisville, Kentucky, seven nieces, Melinda Spencer, Morgan Rogers, Molly Turner, Jessica Malsom, Nikki Johnston, Crystal Davenport, Tammie Jo Leadtka, two nephews, Billy Degand and Scott Dahlberg, and mother in law, Ernestine Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol Dahlberg, brother, John Burghart, father in law, Robert Rogers, sister in law, Deborah Rogers, niece, Margaret Rogers, and nephew, John Burghart.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
