Jack L. Quiett, 81, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on January 13th, 2022. Jack was born on November 2nd, 1940, to Floyd & Margie(Lewis) Quiett. Jack would go on to join the Air Force at the age of 17, receiving a Honorable Discharge after serving in a variety of different duties at Forbes Air Force Base. Following his time in the Air Force, Jack began work in construction. He would go on to master numerous skills during his 40 year career, including the building of three houses. Jack was also a member of Union 101. In 2007, Jack would retire from construction.
Social life, friends, and family were of the upmost importance to Jack. He will be best known for hosting his community 4th of July party for over 20 years. When not spending time with his family, he would enjoy racing, working on stock cars, and gambling. Additionally, Jack loved to travel, recalling special trips to Laughlin, & Las Vegas, NV, as well as Arizona.
Jack is survived by a loving family including his Life Partner, Leann Mannell, two children; Gary Quiett & Lynda Quiett-Harper. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Kyle & Valerie Quiett, & Chelsea Harper. Jack leaves behind two Great-Grandchildren; Jackson Queitt & Autumn Garcia.
A visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Midtown, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka on Friday January 21st, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow. Burial with Military Honors will be conducted at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
