Jack W. Miller, 74, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at a local hospital.
Jack was born May 20, 1930 in Hawarden, IA, the son of David and Myrtle Ruble Miller.
Upon graduation, Jack entered the United States Air Force and served 4 years.
Jack worked for E. I. DuPont in Tecumseh for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He also worked part time for the Kansas Corporation Commission and was a self employed mechanic.
Jack married Velma J. Hochuli on June 5, 1955 in Holton. She survives. Other surviviors include a son, Mark Miller and his wife, Lois, Topeka and a daughter, Susan Marcus and her husband, Jeff, Aurora, CO. Three grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Meghan and Stephen Marcus. Brothers, Ray Miller, Arnold Miller, both of Sioux Falls, SD, Don MIller, Minnesota, and a sister, Lois Zanow, Towson, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dave Miller.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Mr. Miller will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 PM, Sunday. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery, Holton.
