Iva D. Metzler, 86, Topeka, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2006.
Iva was born February 23, 1920 in Lawrenceburg, TN. and spent the productive years of her life farming in western Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde in 1971. She is survived by her two sons; Cloyd Metzler and wife, Betty, Hot Springs, AR, Harvey Metzler, Houston, TX; a daughter, Cloyce Bane and husband, James, Golden, CO; daughter-in-law, Darlene Metzler, Topeka; a brother, David Boger, Wynne, AR; a sister, Francae Burroughs, Flint, MI; four grandchildren, Clyde Metzler and wife, Linda, Lori Jacobson and husband, Rick, Susan Winchell and husband, Robert, all of Topeka and Brook Miller, Golden, CO; several nieces and nephews, numerous friends, and one special friend, Albert Salzer, Topeka.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at the Mount Hope Abbey Chapel. Entombment will be in the Mount Hope Abbey Mausoleum. Mrs. Metzler will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. on Monday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
