Irma Jane Lingo

Irma Jane Lingo, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Lexington Park Nursing Facility. She was born on December 12, 1917 in Bloomington, Illinois to Walter and Blanche (Hungate) Anderson. Irma was a graduate of Topeka High School. On September 18, 1937 she married Charles T. Lingo at Oakland Christian Church in Topeka. She was a member of Oakland Rebekah Lodge and Wakarusa Presbyterian Church.

Irma is survived by her children, Sue A. Scott of Topeka and Charles E. Lingo of Topeka; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Irma will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16 at the funeral home with visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place in Shawnee Center Cemetery at a later date.
