Irma I. Grotefendt

Irma I. Grotefendt, 95, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. She was born December 4, 1919 in Marine, IL, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Henze Grotefendt.
Irma moved to Topeka in 1940. She was employed by State Farm Insurance Company, the Santa Fe Railway Company and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where she retired in 1985 after 30 years of service.
Survivors include her five nephews.
Cremation has taken place and as per Irma's wishes, no services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in Marine Cemetery, Marine, IL at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2914 SE Michigan Ave., Topeka, KS 66605 or to the organization of the donor's choice. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family.
