Irma McCune Bomberger-Pardee, 89, of Brownsville, TX, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
She was born March 12, 1929, in Leavenworth Co, Kansas, the daughter of Theodore and Myrtle (Batchelor) McCune. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1948.
Irma was employed at Jostens American Yearbook as a proofreader leader for 25 years.
Irma married Delwin "Dutch" Bomberger in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1996. She married Gale Pardee in 1999 and he preceded her in death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Sean P. McCoy; sister, Theodora Blankenship; brothers, Marvin McCune and Elmer McCune.
Survivors include a son, Jon Bomberger and his wife, Shelagh, Kemah, TX; daughter, Connie McCoy and her husband, Patrick, Topeka; grandchildren, Cristy Drotts, Jay Bomberger; great-granchildren, Sean Patrick McCoy, Nolan McCoy, Ellie Drotts, Hunter Drotts; Sister, Jennean Reed and her husband, Len.
She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and all entertainment activities in her retirement community and living in sunny south Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave Topeka, KS. Interment of the cremated remains will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery at 6th and Gage.
