Irene C. Wendt, 96, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015.
Irene was born October 22, 1918, in Clay Center, KS, to Clarence and Hannah (Shutt) Alstrom. She married Raymond Wendt on January 25, 1942. Irene worked for Hallmark and retired from the State of Kansas. She was a long-time member of Quivira Heights Church of Christ.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Quivira Heights Church of Christ, 1718 SW Crest Drive, Topeka, KS 66604.
