Ina Gillaspy (Dunn), 79, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
She was born September 11, 1942, in Fletcher, Oklahoma, the daughter of Porter and Bertha (Gillian) Walker. She attended Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, and later went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Oklahoma City Community College in 1994.
Ina was a skilled seamstress for weddings, special occasions, and for her family. She had a diverse vocational background including, time as a bookkeeper, property manager, waitress, and even small business owner.
In 2015, she moved to Topeka, Kansas, to be closer to her son and family. She loved the companionship of animals and her sweet dog Izzy. Above all, Ina cherished every moment with her family, kids, and grandkids. Whether it was a mid week dinner or keeping up with all her grandkids activities, she was most happy spoiling them.
Ina had a long and loving relationship of over 25 years, with Von Gillaspy, until his death on June 30, 1993. She later married William Dunn, and resided in Roseville, Michigan, until his death in 2009.
Survivors include her son, Tracey (Jennifer) Gillaspy and daughter, Deb Gillaspy McCoy; sisters, Lorene Harris and Pat Mitchell; grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, Takara, Ali, Walker, and Donny; great-grandchildren, Molly, Abel, CJ, Bella, Landon, and Grace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Tommy Walker, Oliver Walker, Pauline Corcoran, Bobbie Walker, and Evelyn Lee and her husband's Von Gillaspy and William "Bill" Dunn.
She was laid to rest with her beloved husband Von, December 4, 2021, at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma.
