Ila F. Robinson, 93, of Topeka, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013.
Ila was born April 12, 1920, in Engleville, Kansas, daughter of W.D. and Hattie (Karns) Carlin. She graduated from Ford High School, Ford, KS, and received her nursing training from St. Anthony Hospital, Dodge City, KS. Ila worked as a registered nurse for Christ Hospital now known as Stormont-Vail Hospital. She also served as Director of Nursing at Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, IL. Ila was a member of First United Methodist Church, Queen of Spades Garden Club, and National Garden Club.
She was united in marriage to Robert E. Robinson on April 1, 1946. He preceded her in death.
Ila is survived by her daughter, Pamela Seiler (Steve), Paradise Valley, AZ, three granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, brother, Kenneth Carlin (Maxine), Bucklin, KS, and sister, Verla Haley (Kenneth), Dodge City, KS.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Private entombment will be at Mount Hope Mausoleum, Topeka.
Mrs. Robinson will lie in state from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 3:00-4:30 p.m.
