Ida I. Imparato, 76, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on December 19, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Louis and Jennie Dunn Kolin. She resided in Philadelphia, PA and Suffolk, VA before moving to Topeka in 2001. She was a member of West Side Christian Church. Ida married James J. Imparato. They were divorced. Survivors include two sons, James Imparato and his wife, Betty of Harrisburg, PA, Jeff Imparato and his wife, Martha of Topeka, seven grandchildren, Doug, Marge, Michael, Jamie, Jennifer, Nate and Amy, eleven great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Al McPherson of Suffolk, VA., five nieces and nephews, Carol Caputo, Amy Cohen, Glen McPherson, Jennifer (Lori) Calabretta, Michele Dunton, nine great-nieces and nephews and many friends. Ida was preceded in death by three sisters, Molly, Fay, Bernice and one great-granddaughter, Margaretta. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at West Side Christian Church. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
