Huldah Matilda Barnes, 99, Topeka, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2005 at a local hospice.
She was born July 10, 1906 in Topeka, the daughter of Samuel W. and Emily Susan Davis Oldham.
Huldah married Earl J. Barnes in 1926. He died in 1960. She and her husband lived in Kansas City until his death when she returned to Topeka.
She was a homemaker, and did babysitting for her neighbors.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Elwood Earl Barnes.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at First Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Barnes will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 P.M. on Monday.
