Howard Spencer Adams, 63, of Topeka, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 8, 2005.
He was born October 22, 1941 in Marceline, MO, the son of Spencer and Frances Porter Adams. Howard was active in scouting and Demolay and the Masonic Lodge.
Howard worked as a Special Agent for Santa Fe Railroad for 25 years and later worked in security at St. Francis Hospital. He was an active volunteer at St. Francis Hospital. He was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church.
He married Diana J. Bendickson on April 2, 1966 in Keokuk, IA. She survives. Other survivors include two sons; David Adams and his wife Paula; Tom Adams and his wife Julie; two daughters, Makayla Jirik, and Jamie Adams, all of Topeka; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2005 at Crestview United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
