Horton "Bud" L. Fox
Horton Bud L. Fox, 76, Topeka, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1927, at Lawrence, the son of Ruben S. and Annabel C. Fox. He had been a resident of Topeka since 1948. He worked for Latta-Whitlow Plumbing and Heating as their bookkeeper and office manager. He retired in 1991 after 32 years. He was a member for 40 years of the Family Campers and RVers and the Kansas Camper Association. He married Florence M. Bernauer on Jan. 28, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Doris Jean Fox, and his parents. Surviving are his wife, Florence M. Fox, Topeka; two sons, Dwight R. and his wife, Susan Fox, Alma, and Donald C. and his wife, Gail Fox, Tecumseh; a daughter, Diane M. Fox. Topeka; a sister, Emma Lou and her husband, Clete Skinner, Vassar; two brothers, Ruben D. and his wife, Ann Fox, Las Vegas, and Dale E. and his wife, Deanna Fox, Ottawa; eight grandchildren; eight great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Mr. Fox was cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 4300 S.W.
