Hope Kidwell

Hope "Elaine" Kidwell, 84, Topeka, passed away Jan. 6, 2013. She was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Topeka, the only child of Benjamin H. and Ida May Lane Galbreath. She was a 1944 graduate of Highland Park High and had worked for the State of Kansas SRS for 44 years. On July 7, 1956, Elaine married Myron D. "Mike" Kidwell. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 2003.

Survivors include daughter, Becky Kidwell and husband, Ed Benfer, of Topeka; and two grandsons, Chad McFarland and wife, Patricia, of Goose Creek, SC, and Dana Kidwell, of Topeka.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private interment will be in Rochester Cemetery.
