Miss Hope Allen, 51 of Topeka passed away in her home on Sunday, January 18, 2004. She was born in Topeka on Feb. 14, 1952 the daughter of John O. and Bertha M. Simon Allen.
Hope had participated in the Special Olympics since its inception and did so for over twenty years. She was a swimmer, bowler and runner having won medals in all of these events.
Surviving Hope are her Mother Bertha "Bert", sisters Jan Lening, Diane and Leslie Allen and brother Steve Allen.
Memorial services will be Friday, January 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Cremation is planned. Memorial donations may be made to T.A.R.C.
