Holland Fox, 86, of Topeka, passed away, Saturday, January 3, 2004 at a Topeka retirement community.
He was born September 1, 1917 at Glen Elder, KS the son of Charles and Erma (Hossler) Fox.
He married Evelyn Vendel May 27, 1038 at Oskaloosa, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include:

Son, Gary D. Fox Ft. Worth, TX
Daughter, Vicki and Bert Corwin Topeka, KS
Sister, Norma and Larry Runn Lawrence, KS
19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roland Fox and Robert Fox.
Holland was a 1936 graduate of Oskaloosa High School.
Mr. Fox was a musician. At the age of 13 he sang with his sisters on a radio program in Shenandoah, Iowa. He had a band in the Topeka area many years where he played the banjo and guitar.
He owned and operated the Fox Grocery stores in Topeka in the 1950's. He later went to work as a meat manager at Falley's. He retired in 1981. He was a locksmith hobbyist until his death.
He was an active member of Topeka Lodge #17, AF & AM. He was also a member of Topeka Scottish Rite Bodies.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. Fox will lie in state after 12:00 noon Tuesday at the funeral where the family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 pm Tuesday.
