Hermine "Amy" Johnson, 80, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011, in Erie, Colorado.
Hermine was born August 13, 1930, in Regensburg, Germany, daughter of Josef and Franziska (Schneider) BrÜcklmeier. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Western Hills Baptist Church. Hermine was actively involved with Arab Temple Nobelles.
Hermine was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Max P. Johnson, sisters, Cilli Anetzerder and Barbara BrÜcklmeier, brothers, Fritz and Josef BrÜcklmeier.
She is survived by her children, Virginia (Wolfgang) Neumann, Germany; Judy Strathman, Topeka; Debra (Hal) Haller, Wichita; Roy (Kittie) Johnson, Erie, CO; Patsy Johnson, Topeka; grandchildren, Florian Neumann; Brandon, Erica, and Bradley Strathman; Max and Amanda Haller; Rebekah, Sarah, and Michael Johnson; Jessica Ralls and Brandi Smith; six great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Stringfellow; and several nieces and nephews. Hermine will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
