Herman H. Josefiak, formerly of Topeka, passed away on October 31, 2006, in Beaumont, CA where he had lived for several years.
Herman Harvey Josefiak was born on June 10, 1917 in Rush Center, KS the son of Joseph and Rosie Josefiak.
He graduated from Rush Center High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He was an auditor in the State Division of Post Audit for many years, and served as the State Board of Treasury Examiner until his retirement.
He was a member of Siloam lodge #225, of Topeka, the York Rite of Topeka, and Arab Shrine, where he was a member of the Director's Staff, and the Hospital Dads.
He married Ruth Elizabeth Metsker in February of 1940. She preceded him in death. He married Doris Mae Rogers. She preceded him in death. He married Marie Maresch Becker. She survives, of the home, in Beaumont, CA. Other survivors include a step-daughter, Marsha LaDam of Beaumont, CA, a brother-in-law, John Philip Metsker of Lawrence, a sister-in-law, Ida Barbara Swank of Topeka and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 7th at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. He will lie in state after 1:00 pm. Monday at the funeral home, where his family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening.
