91, passed away July 4, 2003 at McCrite Plaza. Mr. Buechner was born June 6, 1912 in Topeka the son of Edward and Sadie Heber Buechner. Graduate of Topeka High School, attended Washburn University, served in the US Coast Guard. Mr. Buechner was a member of : First Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Philip Billard Post # 1650, American Legion, Golden Rule # 90 Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies, Arab Shrine Temple, Kappa Sigma Fraternity of Washburn University, Material Men Association, all of Topeka. Prededed in death by his wifes Jeannette and Jane. Survivors include: A Daughter Susan London, Palmyra, ME, Two grandchildren, Christopher and Sandra London, great granddaughter Haley London, and a cousin, Diana Osterhout of Topeka.
Funeral Services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel July 8, 2003 at 11:00AM. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00PM-8:00PM Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or Alzheimers Association
