Helen V. Collier, 89, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016. She was born November 8, 1926, in Topeka, the daughter of Will and Vernice (Griffin) Bozarth.
Helen was a 1944 graduate of Topeka High School and attended the University of Kansas. On October 16, 1946, in Topeka, she married George Collier. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1999. After George's passing, she worked for Columbian Bank and later for the State of Kansas.
Survivors include daughters, Sandy (Donald) Manning, Susan Courtney, and Sherry (Tracy) Diel; grandchildren, Kim Murray, Jennifer Manning, Kevin Manning, Blair Diel, and Allyssa Diel; and great-grandchildren, Sidney Murray and Harlow Manning.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Russell Bozarth.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice or Helping Hands Humane Society.
