Helen F. Stallings, 85, Topeka, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Aldersgate Village.
Mrs. Stallings was a homemaker, bridge teacher, avid golfer, school teacher, and a manager at the Kansas Department of Labor, Employment Security Division, from which she had retired.
She was born January 21, 1921 to Ernest and Florence Frack Reiman on a farm near Byers, Kansas, on a farm near Byers, Kansas, and was raised there. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University.
Mrs. Stallings was a longtime active member of Lowman United Methodist Church.
She married John R. (Jay) Stallings in June, 1943 in Manhattan. Survivors include a son, Dennis Stallings, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two nieces, Margo Anthony, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Nancy Mason, Orlando, Florida, and a nephew, Rodney Reiman, Dodge City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Stallings on Dec. 22, 1986 and her husband, Jay Stallings on Oct. 29, 1998.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday at Lowman United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Stallings will lie in state after 9:00 am Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
