Helen Ann (Pierson) Moreland, 78, of Topeka, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020.
She was born February 13, 1942, in Blue Rapids, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (Fairchild) Pierson. She was a graduate of Junction City High School and attended Kansas State University.
Helen was a Journal Clerk for the Kansas State Senate and was an Avon Representative for many years, retiring in 2012.
She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority at Kansas State University
Helen married Ernest Ray Moreland on November 26, 1961 in Junction City. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include her son, Chad (Kristen) Moreland of Shawnee; grandchildren, Noah and Natalie Moreland; and brother, Tony Pierson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Due to the current health crisis, there will be no public service at this time. A Private graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family hopes to have a Celebration of Life for Helen that will be announced at a later date.
