Helen Rose Martin, 81, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Plaza West Care Center.
She was born July 21, 1923 in Topeka the daughter of Lewis Charles and Ethel Sarah Bird Berg. She was a graduate of Topeka High School.
Helen was employed as a Lab Technician with Seymour Foods. She retired after 35 years of service.
She married William F. Martin March 2, 1956 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include one brother, Warren C. Berg, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Graveside services will be held 10:00am Thursday, May 26, 2005 at the Graceland Cemetery, Burlington, Kansas. Mrs. Martin will lie in state after 12:00 noon Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel. To leave a special message for the family please visit www.penwellgabel.com.
