Helen M. Criger, 96, of Overbrook, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 in Overbrook.
She was born June 14, 1918, in Baker, Montana, the daughter of Jay L. and Kathryn (O'Brien) Hoag.
Helen married George A. Criger on December 31, 1936. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Don and Jay Criger and one grandson, Martin Criger.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Criger of Altoona and Mark (Jo Ellen) Criger of Overbrook; two daughters, Virginia (Gary) Marti of Wichita and Michele (Kurt) Nunnenkamp; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Chanute. Inurnment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic School, Chanute, Kansas.
Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
