Helen Sue Beymer, 80 of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She suffered from Parkinson's disease.
She was born April 7, 1937 in Hattieville, AR, to Rhea and James Reynolds. She later moved to Leavenworth, KS and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1955.
She worked in a variety of fields through the years including Hallmark Cards, Kansas Power and Light, The Capper Foundation, and USD #501 as a paraprofessional. She loved working with children and left an impact on many.
Helen married Donnie Beymer in 1955, in Leavenworth, KS. They moved to Topeka and settled in 1966. Helen and Donnie enjoyed many fun activities together such as traveling, camping, spending time with close friends and family, and watching the grandchildren grow up.
Helen will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her willingness to help anywhere she was needed.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and son Craig Allen.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie Beymer, daughter Lisa (Berke), son Tim, in-laws Jeff and Tammy, Grandchildren Riley and Raegan Beymer.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at St. David's Episcopal Church, 3916 SW 17th St., Topeka KS.
A family internment will take place in Leavenworth, KS at the graveside of Mt. Muncie Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, donations in care of Helen's name can be given to the St. David's Episcopal Church, 3916 SW 17th St, Topeka KS, 66604 or Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66603.
