Heather Nicole Ferrell, 36, of Largo, Florida formerly of Topeka, KS passed away on December 2, 2020.
Heather had an infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved spending time with her family and could not wait to see her nieces Piper, Maizy, and Emma, and her nephew Grayson. She once said, "Being an aunt is a blessing." She loved the ocean, sea turtles, and dolphins. She also loved to travel, and she and her mom made her numerous career moves into wonderful adventures in a U-Haul. She also loved spending time with her dogs Bella, and Bentley. She enjoyed kayaking on the ocean, walking on the beach and shopping for a good deal.
Heather graduated from Topeka West High School and Kansas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. While at K-State, Heather was active in the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
Heather managed several restaurants and hotels. She also worked for Disney World, and Sysco West Coast Florida in food sales.
She is survived by her mother Beverly Page-Ferrell; brothers Justin Ferrell of Concordia, KS; Derek (Stephanie) Ferrell of Ft. Myers, Florida; nieces Piper and Maizy Ferrell of Concordia, KS; Emma Ferrell of Ft. Myers, Florida; and nephew Grayson Ferrell of Ft. Myers, Florida. Allen and Tanzey Cutter aunt and uncle of Tecumseh, KS. Great aunts Darlene Palermo of Elk Grove, California and Leona Rayls of Topeka, KS.
Heather was preceded in death by her father Kevin Ferrell; maternal grandparents Robert and Lola Mae Page of Topeka, KS; her paternal grandparents Paul and Janice Ferrell of Topeka, KS.
Heather will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Penwell-Gabel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Penwell-Gabel. The family will greet friends an hour prior to service time. Heather will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka, KS following the service.
Donations may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society Topeka, KS in Heather's name.
