Heather Brianna (Lepper) Miranda, 40, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015, at her home in Lawrence, KS.
Heather was born September 18, 1975, in Beaver, OK, to Bruce and Marsha Lepper. She graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design from the University of Kansas. Heather worked for Jostens as a graphic designer for over 20 years. She served her country for six years in the Air National Guard. Heather was a Girl Scout Leader, member of the PTO and of La Leche League of Topeka, and was a mentor for under privileged youth. She was a Helping Hands Humane Society Volunteer and helped with foster care for rescue dogs. Heather was a talented artist and enjoyed her time as a professional face painter. She was a kind and caring mother, daughter, sister, and friend to everyone. She will be missed.
She is survived by her two children, Jack and Genevieve "GG" Miranda; mother, Marsha (Brad) Meyer; and three siblings, Holly (Kyle) Free, Marisa and Paul Meyer.
Heather was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Lepper; paternal grandparents, Willard and Ula Lepper; and maternal grandparents, Wm. Monroe Willhite and Alice Kiner.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Ward Meade Park, 124 NW Fillmore St, Topeka, KS 66606. A private family inurnment will follow at a later date at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery – Serve and Protect Garden, Topeka.
