Hazel Faye McLinn, 81, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009.
She was born February 13, 1928 in Willow, Oklahoma, the daughter of E. Carrol and M. Edna (Bond) Jackson. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, Topeka.
Hazel married Delmar L. McLinn, Sr. on May 7, 1948 in Texas. He survives. Other survivors include children, Delmar L. McLinn, Jr. Carol Lee, Linda Baker, Debbie Beatty, Joan Ward, James McLinn, Phillip McLinn, Robert McLinn and Ron McLinn; 17 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by two children, David Roy McLinn and Catherine Elizabeth McLinn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, 3601 SW 17th St., Topeka. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka. Mrs. McLinn will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, where a rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. The family will receive friends following the rosary.
