Harry David Hurd

Harry David Hurd, 60, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Colmery-O'neil VA Medical Center after a short illness. He was born on September 13, 1948 in Council Bluffs, IA, the son of Harry C. and Jacqueline Kelsen. He was a Navy veteran during the Vietnam War era. Following military service, he lived in Topeka. Survivors include his mother, Jacqueline L. Hurd, his sisters, Connie Nettles, Paula Jean Hurd and Lou Ann Gibler all of Council Bluffs, IA. Mr. Hurd will lie in state from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the All Faiths Chapel at the Colmer-O'Neil VA Medical Center. Burial will take place in Council Bluffs, IA.
