Harriette Florence Gulley Seufert, 93, of Wamego, formerly of Topeka, died October 22, 2005 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born January 19, 1912 in Lawrence, Kansas the daughter of Samuel F. and Mary Ellen Harris Gulley.
She was a member of Potwin Presbyterian Church, Helena Chapter #210 Order of the Eastern Star, Areme Star; and Electa Club.
Harriette was married to Carl Albert Seufert, Sr., July 21, 1930 in Lawrence, Kansas. She resided in Topeka 58 years before moving to Wamego in 2003. He preceded her in death January 1, 1978. She was also preceded in death by a son, Carl A. Seufert, Jr.; a grandson, Steven Jeffrey Seufert; brothers, Elmer Gulley, Wilbert Gulley and a sister Agnes Boyd.
Survivors include a son Frank E. Seufert and his wife Sally, Wamego, KS; a daughter, Helen Knierim and her husband Jerry, Scottsdale, AZ; a daughter-in-law Fulva Seufert, Topeka; a sister, Bernice Ewing, Kansas; brothers, Lester (Sam) Gulley, Delaware; William (Babe) Gulley, Virginia; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2005 at Mt. Hope Cemetery where Eastern Star services will be conducted by Helena Chapter #210 O.E.S..
Mrs. Seufert will lie in state after noon Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
