Harold Harry Herbert Eulert, 85, Topeka, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014.
He was born November 29, 1928, in Netawaka, Kansas, the son of William and Sophia (Weber) Eulert.
In 1946, Harold graduated from Fosdick-Masten Park High School in Buffalo, NY.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War.
Harold was employed by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 30 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was a long time choir member and bell choir member. He was also a member of the Contemporary Historical Vehicle Association (CHVA), Golden Spokes Car Club and the Retired Old Motorcyclists Eating Out (ROMEO's).
On July 20, 1952 he married Sharon Kay Lietz at St. John's Lutheran Church. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Denise L. Eulert, Carol J. Morgan (Kevin), Shirley A. Johnson (Chris); two grandsons, Colin C. and Ian S. Johnson, all of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Theodore Eulert, Charlotte Winters, Ruth Schneider, Amanda Roykouff and Ernst Eulert.
He loved to travel with Sharon, work on his motorcycle and cars, as well as helping others work on their cars.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Harold will lie in state on Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
