Harold Hiner Hokanson, 90, Topeka, passed away from this life on July 31, 2010.
He will be fondly remembered as a great brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Harold was born on April 9, 1920 in Manhattan. He married Thelma "Mickey" Richmond on January 25, 1947. She preceded him in death on November 14, 2004.
His career with the Santa Fe Railroad spanned four decades. After retirement, Harold spent his time on the important things in life; golf, fishing and going to Mexico searching for the best frozen margarita.
Harold was a damn good man who will be greatly missed by all of those lucky enough to have known him.
Survivors include son, Richard Hokanson, Friendswood, TX; grandchildren, Alyssa, Christopher and Alyson; and sisters, Ruth Peterson and Betty Drovetta. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Ann.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
