Harold D. Barraclough

Harold D. Barraclough, 83, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at his home. He was born on August 26, 1924 in Topeka, the son of Walter and Fladilla Little Barraclough. Harold was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving for twenty years. He was a member of Walnut View Christian Church. Harold married Maxine C. Bleske on October 4, 1947 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on September 16, 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Barraclough and Markita Schneider, both of Topeka, two sons, David Barraclough of Phoenix, AZ, and Harold Barraclough, Jr., of Sierra Vista, AZ, and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Harold will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
