Harold M. "Brownie" Brown, 86, Topeka, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017.

Born April 26, 1931, in Wellsville, Kansas, the son of Elmer and Jenny (Shipps) Brown, he graduated from Wellsville High School in 1949 and attended the University of Kansas.

He owned and operated Brownie's Boat Shop from the early 1960s until mid-1980s.

Survivors include his children: Ron Brown (Evalyn Van Valkenburgh), Lori Rogers (Kieth), Wes Brown (Belinda), Richard Brown (Elaine), Sandra Moore (Doug), Randa Brown, Jeff Osburn (Robin), Janda Osburn, Chris White, Mark White (Tracy), Byron White and Gigi White; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his previous spouses: Mary Brown and Jean "O.J." Brown, daughter, Kathy (White) Mitchell, two grandsons: Jordan J.M. Brown, Justin K. Osburn and one great- granddaughter: Payton A. Osburn.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
