Harlan "Nic" P. Fellers, 67, of Topeka, passed away, Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Midland Hospice House.
He was born June 25, 1938 in Coffey County, Kansas the son of Paul and Viola Fellers.
He was a 1956 graduate of Lebo High School. He had attended Emporia State University.
He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad Computer Systems Department after 33 years of service. Following his retirement Nic worked parttime for the Topeka Capitol Journal and Kaw Valley Electric.
He was a member of the Army National Guard and Post #160 of the American Legion in Silver Lake.
He married Georgia A. Erickson November 17, 1962. They later divorced. Survivors include his three children Kimberly Howbert, Berryton; Karla Brooks, Meriden; Kevin Fellers, Auburn; one brother, Glenn Fellers, Lebo; two sisters, Carol Archer, Vidalia, LA; Cheryl Pevey, Lee's Summitt, MO, 5 grandchildren, and 4 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Kay Lavonne Fellers.
Mr. Fellers will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service with private inurnment in Rochester Cemetery at a later date.
